| Our vision for children is to have a place to come in Jackson County that would provide them with the opportunity to reap these benefits. Our outdoor riding arena is 80 x 175 feet and is open to troubled children in Ohio to learn to love and take care of animals. This teaches the children positive social interaction, appropriate self-disclosure and empathetic feelings that include bonding and attachment. |
| Based on a three year collaborative study between The Iams Company, Colorado State University School of Social Work, College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, it was determined that caring for pets can improve the behavior and social interaction of severely troubled youth. |
| In addition to the arena we need to purchase therapeutic saddles for special needs children and materials for an enclosed shelter house. |
